Unfortunately, automatic payments cannot be set up with Emet Mortgage since we do not retain servicing rights. We will process only the first one or two payments at most, before your loan is transferred to a new servicer. Once the transfer is complete, your new servicer will offer the option to set up automatic payments along with a variety of other payment methods for your convenience.
A servicing transfer letter is a notice that your mortgage loan is now being handled by a different company. This means you'll send your payments to a new loan servicer, but the terms of your loan (like your interest rate and balance) will stay the same.
You received this letter because your current loan servicer transferred the servicing rights to another company. This happens often in the mortgage industry and doesn’t affect the details of your loan. If you get this letter, read it carefully, and update your payment details.
Yes. You will receive a new loan number in your welcome packet from the new servicer.
No, your principal, interest rate, and escrow (if applicable) will remain the same. However, you must send payments to the new servicer starting on the transfer date.
Both Emet Mortgage and your new servicer will notify you in writing at least 15 days before the transfer. These notices will include your new servicer’s contact details and payment instructions.
After your loan servicing is transferred, there is typically a 15-day grace period from the first of the month. During this time, you will not be charged any late fees.
It typically takes 5-10 business days for your loan to be fully processed and added to the new servicer’s system. We recommend reaching out to them again after this timeframe to check on your account status. During this transition period, there is a 15-day grace period starting from the first of the month, during which no late fees will be applied.
The process requires time to officially close your account, verify and transfer your loan information, and set up your account in the servicer’s system.
If this is your first time mistakenly sending a payment to Emet Mortgage or if it’s within 60 days of the transfer, we will forward your payment to the new loan servicer. Alternatively, we can return the payment to you so you can submit it directly to the new servicer, helping to avoid any potential delays. To request for a refund, email [email protected].
Yes, your escrow account (if applicable) will transfer to the new servicer. Your escrow balance will be maintained and applied as usual for taxes and insurance payments.
Once the transfer is complete, direct all questions to your new servicer. Their contact information will be included in your servicing transfer notice.
